The Tarot TL718 is a compact professional folding quadcopter frame for work where portability, payload and quick deployment matter equally. A 718mm wheelbase folds down to just 342 × 342mm thanks to a wrap-around design, so it travels easily without giving anything up in the air.
In place of the usual umbrella-style mechanism, the TL718 uses a horizontal folding system with 360° counter-rotating arms. A robust swivel lock on each arm holds the frame rigid in flight yet folds quickly for storage and transport. With folding propellers fitted, the packed frame takes up very little space.
The airframe is an integrated injection-moulded composite with 30% carbon fibre, giving a strong, light structure that carries payloads up to 3kg. Integrated motor mounts house compatible ESCs for a clean install, and the roomy central fuselage leaves space for flight electronics, batteries and extra equipment. A large lower mounting platform takes cameras, sensors or other mission payloads, and considered cable routing makes Tarot power distribution boards and other popular flight control systems easy to fit.
Tarot recommends the TL718 with their 4012 320KV motors and Hobbywing XRotor Pro 40A ESCs, a combination tested to fly for up to 40 minutes in ideal conditions.
