Unlock more functionality on your FPV drone or wing by adding the Beitian BF-220 GPS module. A GPS is a useful addition to many builds, allowing you to display key flight data in your OSD such as speed, altitude, distance from home, direction arrow, and GPS coordinates. This information is especially helpful for long-range flying and for recovering a model after a crash.

The BF-220 is the updated version of the popular BN-220, using a newer chipset while retaining the same compact size and lightweight design. It supports multiple satellite systems and offers reliable positioning performance for modern FPV setups.

Depending on your flight controller firmware and configuration, a GPS module can also enable features such as Return to Home, Position Hold, and Rescue Mode. In Betaflight, Rescue Mode is designed to help bring the aircraft back towards the launch point in the event of signal loss or when manually activated.

The BF-220 is small and lightweight, making it easy to add to a wide range of builds without a noticeable weight penalty.

For best performance, mount the GPS module on top of the model with a clear view of the sky, and keep it as far as practical from the VTX and other sources of electrical interference.
